Hiker missing for two decades found in ice
Description
The body of a man who fell to his death from a mountain in Canada more than two decades ago has been discovered in a well-preserved condition.
William Holland, a 38-year-old American, was climbing down Snow Dome mountain in Canada's Jasper National Park in April 1989 when a rock cornice broke off, causing him to lose his footing.
Another climber with Holland was rescued.
Holland's body was buried by an avalanche and never found by search teams.
Holland's body was preserved for 21 years within glacial ice and carried as the glacier moved down the mountainside.
Two climbers saw the body this month and alerted officials.
