Electronic waste contains hazardous elements, including heavy metals such as mercury, lead, chromium, cadmium, arsenic, silver, cobalt, palladium and copper. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), exposure to even low levels of mercury, cadmium and lead can cause serious neurological damage and impair a child’s physical and mental development. To keep up with the rapid development in tech industry, we change our electronic devices more often, resulting in more electronic waste or e-waste. Here's how to treat your e-waste.
