Description

A wonderfully agile crab
lived underwater. Had of gab
the gift as folks are fond of saying.
She'd swim around, all hips a-swaying
and was the envy of her sisters.
Now crabs do play a game called Twisters.
It's when they use their sharpened claws
to rip the throat from whiting jaws.
It usually ends with a twist
and some more crabs struck off the list.
That is the only true sinister
game of those crabs, it's called The Twister.
One day the crab went to a dance,
a pollywog made his advance
though she was honoured and she glowed
especially when Tiny rode
a seahorse in a wild west manner,
and holding up a plankton banner
which read 'I love those little muddies',
which stands for mudcrabs, fuddy-duddies
of the deep sea, live next to sandies
who really look and taste like candies,
a snack that sea-folks do not like.
So crab went over to the tike
and picked him up exuding love
when from behind, a jealous shove
from you know who dislodged the polly
from gripping claws and, struth! By golly
he ended up inside the gullet.
It just so happened that a mullet
was also destined to be swallowed
the polly thought he's being followed.
And in the end I meant to show you
a glimpse of sea life. When I know you
a trifle better you will see
that action happens in the sea.
While on the land it's dog eat dog
here in the wet it's crab eat frog.
