You asked me, my love
with the casual voice
that just wants to make conversation.

So I told you about my sadness.

Sadness that there are:
Not enough flowers
nor genuine words
and not enough kisses
in this world for YOU.

So you reminded me
that there was not enough time
in our lives
to grow enough flowers
or to coin genuine words
to describe our love.

And then YOU kissed me.
