Herbert Nehrlich - NIL
6 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
when he unwrapped the huge syringe.
And plunged it in a greedy vein
soon after, he could feel no pain.
They all looked up to this Big Brother,
had weaned themselves from their kind mother.
As imitation well might be
the dearest form of flattery.
He soon became the big supplier.
No kid could know he was a liar.
And as they dropped like one-day flies
he preached about soul-searching 'highs'.
How many children have you killed?
How many hearts of parents chilled?
Yet with audacity and pride
you ask the world to let it slide.
Demand your place with normal folks
and even tell disgusting jokes.
I say you did forfeit all rights
when you first offered them small bites
and then you hooked them until dead,
but walk away, hold high your head.
If ever you should cross my road
I'll squish you like a poison toad.
A leopard never drops one spot,
but no, a leopard you are not.
But those like you, who maim and kill
are worth in terms of value: NIL.
