Description

He needed, for himself, a Queen.
A man must have someone to honour,
to look upon with hopeful expectation.
To pray to, if it is convenient, or of promise,
and to belong to, visible to all.
And when he found that, for exotic reasons
no queen would give him even brief attention,
when he was shunned by all, though worship was his name,
he gave up looking, laid his head upon the cork
which was the messenger this special queen had sent.
She found him worthy of her exquisite attention,
and led his hand to the slim neck of her fine bottle,
and pledged a paradise of heavenly dimensions,
She was the Queen who smiled and then caressed.
La Reine d'Alcool, it was her name and his great love.
