The illness labelled Basedow
can often be a bitter blow.
All thyroid problems stem from lack
of halogen within the pack.
Fluor, Iodine and Chrome and Brome
are really the epitome
of war-like battles often lost
and added to the human cost.
Atomic weight determines which
will end up the victorious bitch.
The gland, deprived of basic matters
then overworks, soon lies in tatters.
The medico now nukes it quick
which keeps the patient poor and sick.
Or he provides a xeno pill
to institute a gentle kill.
All thyroid illness could be cured
if doctors openly endured
a middle income life today.
Though this ain't likely, I must say.
