Herbert Nehrlich - Frogs and Poms

The English call the Frenchmen FROGS,
because they like to eat their legs.
The French, because of London Fogs
and narrowness of head like eggs
and one of few English inventions:
The FRENCH FRY (does it cause those zits?) ,
which swept the world with good intention
under thelabel of POMMES FRITES,
bestowed by Poms or Frogs or Who?

For centuries they have been fighting,
their tastes do differ by design
and matters can get quite exciting,
just listen to the following line:
The POMS prefer stiff upper lips
when faced with life's hard knocks,
where FROGS aren't into sailing ships
but are, indeed, obsessed with cocks.
No, please don't think I'm writing dirty,
when I say coc-au-vin,
it doesn't mean I'm getting flirty
like in the Rouge Moulin.
They like their poultry, hang them high
and use them only if
they have acquired by and by
maturity, gone stiff.
Now that's cleared up I need to add
that Frenchmen do their best
to keep a mistress, it's no fad,
that way they keep abreast
at hand for those rare times, my friend
when cock is being basted
and no one minds the common trend:
A cocktail's never wasted.

Sophisticated Englishmen
however aren't the same.
They take their girls to tea and when
a fire and a flame
burn brightly in their little hearts,
they can't get in the mood
and silently let little farts
escape and think of food.

The population figures show,
big differences do exist,
the English hear the roosters crow,
in France you do get hugged and kissed.
