Herbert Nehrlich - Don Rumsfeld

In Pharmaland they called him Don,
he supervised there the creation
of pills, he was the King of Con
and well in charge of this great nation.

When Sticky Stan of FDA
turned down the sweet and sour stuff
which would replace (and highly pay)
plain sugar, times got very rough.

Don took the funds he had acquired
and bought the highest agency,
from then all new decrees were sired
by one who told us we were free.

Though not content with medicines
where you at first need to deceive
he jumped, head-first, into new sins
sold antidotes.'You can believe
what government is telling you
we live to nurture and protect
the blood inside my veins is blue
which only shows that a select
and noble group of men can lead
this nation to its rightful home
and if a million soldiers bleed
you will not see the fall of Rome! '

So, Don was chosen to decide
which oil smelled of democracy,
he took the folks for a wild ride
to earn his place in history.

But history strikes back at times
and ties its own, effective noose.
So when the folks heard of the crimes
Big Don no longer filled his shoes.

He staggered, tripped and cut his heels
embarrassed George in front of masses,
George turned him down, his brash appeals
as he could choose from hordes of asses.

And so he did, it was a lady
credentialled by a secret order
perhaps she was a trifle shady
but when she talked about the border
between the good ole USA
and outer space, it was the plan
the all just nodded their OKAY
'Done Deal', into the future, man.
