Pardon me friend, for this little intrusion
it is not my intent to offend.
All around there are signs of a rampant collusion
people's minds going round the big bend.
You have freedom you say, you can do as you please
and you teach to the world your success,
are you deaf to the sounds of the bronchial wheeze
that erupts when you utter 'God bless'?
Would you think the same crap if your son were to die
in the dustbowl of desert and oil?
Have a look at that luscious American Pie
and the bloodstains on far away soil.
Yes, the goodness of folks is not ever in doubt
though observing dear Gullible's travels
makes me cry in my sleep and wake up with a shout
I can see your great country unravel.
Pardon me friend I must ask you to be
your own guardian, an angel so kind
that you point to the sky in the land of the free
may the gods heal the dumb and the blind.
