Tonight...

A smiling moon glows
brilliantly, serenely
as it drifts across
a cold and cloudless sky.
Manukau Harbour, still now
as it frames your little home,
where you allowed a gap
between the heavy drapes
in forward thoughts
and I suspect you pinch
that soft and lovely skin
until the moment's own embrace,
it will be magic on the other side
of double-glazed and night-time gazed
two metre window panes.
