I wake.....
the sound of happy birds
offset by Stihl's two-strokes
warm, golden rays
reflected from my clan's collage,
a cranky mutt
demanding food
and love,
Postman drives by,
nothing for you Sir,
well damn you, not today.
A dozen skateboards pass
and
on the Norfolk Pine
a Kookaburra bird
presents his silly laugh,
with pride
and
ahh, so endlessly.
