into a leaf,
its colours loud
its ribs so green,
spread wide
upon my calloused palm
from whence
your scent,
the scent of acorn
and sweet juniper
arises til it meets
my eager lips,
which part for you
the sweetness
of your foreign tongue.

silence speaks,
its salivary touch
stuck to the palate
like a virgin stalactite,
prepared to tease,
mock combat's touch
to taste
its depth, to please,
create a vacuum's pull
felicitas
no space be left
to squeeze one molecule between.

I shall...
live in the land
beyond those thrills,
the night is darkest
at the brink of dawn,
your eyes,
two jewels of the river's soul
bring light,
to me,
the light I need from you.
