Herbert Nehrlich 2 - I
0 Views • Jun 16, 2014
Description
have you, at times or even once
been with emotions in arrears
and concentrated on the puns?
I know you introverted lot,
there is no telling what you think,
stone-faced you say you'd rather not
be Maitre D. And then you wink.
I tell you, lazy bones, I must
no greater love can be conceived
a baby wrapped in pink-laced lust
a masterpiece Ulysses weaved.
I taunt, I touch, I taste, I tame,
she poses, holds, inserts her thumb,
the question if I ever came
would there be joy, would I be numb?
I sleep now, as perhaps in dreams
our hands will join entangled limbs
and catch the essence of sweet creams
and sing along with ancient hymns.
I wake again, tomorrow morn,
wet from the memory of you,
I hope no crazy woman's scorn
will slip some Hemlock in my brew.
