Consensus is a modern trick,
the word can so deceive,
it gives all logic the big flick
and causes sense to leave.

When interests have an axe to grind
they claim that all is done,
that all the work is now behind
and no one sees the pun.

A refuge for the scoundrels is
the place they call consensus
let's go, they say, get on with biz
and polish not your lenses.

The word itself precludes debate
all settled seems the matter
the smokescreen is a steady state
a flux succeeds the latter.

So if they say consensus was
just reached you must beware,
watch sticky fingers and their paws
so you may keep your share.

Koch's Postulates have always been
the pillars for true science
you reproduce results and win
and stand in sheer defiance.

Consensus is not science and
it causes no confusion,
no native folks of any land
should fall for this delusion.

Consensus is for politics,
for airheads without morals,
so be alert for all their tricks
their briberies and florals.

Man's view and attitude to man
have suffered in our battle,
it's take from others what you can,
cow pies are made by cattle.
