Herbert Nehrlich 2 - Antidepressants

Dilemma is a word I use
when folks fall ill from too much booze.
Depression rears its ugly head
and if it wins you may dropp dead.
Now listen, friends, there is no pill
that strengthens or supports your will,
and if you fall for silly hype
then you must be the docile type,
the one who trusts the starched white coat
and pays the system by remote.
There is no real benefit
from Zoloft, Prozac, all of it
is based on trust and simple hope.
There is in healing (there must be) ,
a clear assertive trinity,
so expectation and belief
will masquerade as petty thief,
placebo makes the patient well
and soon they make new pills to sell.
