Henry is ill, and Sir Topham Hatt fears he will have to be replaced if he cannot improve. The next day, Sir Topham Hatt rides in Henry's cab. Henry is unable to go further than Wellsworth, and Edward takes over. The fireman tells Sir Topham Hatt Henry's firebox is too small and he needs Welsh coal. Sir Topham Hatt arranges for James to collect some, and Henry feels better, even managing to find time to tease Thomas!
