Helping Iran "communicate"
1 Views • Jun 01, 2012
Description
Reports say Iran intends to begin blocking access to Gmail, which is sparking new concerns over the censorship practices of Iran's government.
Al Jazeera spoke with Austin Heap, the executive director of the Censorship Research Centre- a US-based non-profit organisation that helps people overcome government censorship in countries such as Iran.
Heap admits that his organisation may be helping Iranians break the law, but insists the ability to communicate freely is a basic human right.
