Bow your heads in silence
For one you never cared for
One you never Loved
One you neglected
One who did not exist
But when she was gone you saw her
Not the real her
You just saw that blank expression
You never saw the scars
Never understood
Or that is
You never tried
Did you care?
Do you care now?
Now that she’s gone?
Maybe if you weren’t ignorant
And paid attention to her
Talked to her
Try to help her
She’ll be here this minute
But what happened to her
Wasn’t her fault
It was yours
And now you have to live
With the pain and guilt
That she had to once
Because she was never good enough
