As i extend my hand in a gesture of peace,
Know that from my heart you have taken a piece.
You have extended your friendship & taken me on board,
Your words of encouragement have struck a certain cord.
I thank you stranger for having faith in me,
For you were not blinded & you could see.
That i had something to give right from my heart,
No - body is perfect & we all need a fresh start.
If you were not there to extend your hand,
I would have stayed in my depressed land.
A land that is full of doubt & despair,
With horrible demons & darkness everywhere.
Thank you for breaking away the chains,
That kept me isolated & feeling insane....
