There are many people in the world
They'll try to tell you what to do
Tell you what is going to happen to you

But you need to take charge
and run through that open door
Even if it's not the dream that your friends told you
You're the umpire of you own life
Call the strikes and the balls on your own terms

So think about it are you throwing your dreams away
Or are you throwing someone else's
