Hebert Logerie - Nothing Means Nothing

The beautiful castle which was purchased for millions,
The extravagant wedding that was paid in cash,
The exotic flowers that were brought from Lyons,
The exquisite fragrance that was part of the bash,
The clarity and the zest of the diamond’s ring,
At the end of the journey, they all mean nothing.
What are left are the gossips and echoes of the airways.
After a few years, everything will fall in decay:
The moon will keep her beauty, the small bay
Will be wider, more fish will flow down the rivers,
The sun will not stop sending the radiant rays on earth,
The wind will keep on blowing the horns and the clarinets,
Some lucky peasants will continue admiring the waves and the surfs,
And the mountains will witness the annihilation of the sects.
Nothing means nothing; things come and go,
Like April showers; like the deluge of the snow.
