Heavy rain lashes Jamnagar, rescue operation continues

Heavy rain lashes Gujarat's major areas including Jamnagar. The Indian Navy has joined the rescue and relief efforts in Gujarat where incessant rain and flooding have inundated large parts of the state. Thousands of locals have been evacuated from the flooded areas while the death of one person has been reported so far. Authorities in Rajkot had on Monday sought help from the Indian Air Force and Navy. Based on the request for assistance, a naval humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) team, consisting of naval divers has been sent. Watch this video.
