Heather Devlin - Emo-tion

emotion is the enemy
taking over all of me
a light so dark that i cant see
whats standing right in front of me

emotion is a bad excuse
and explination for abuse
like tightening a brand new noose
to keep from asking 'whats the use? '

emotion is a waste of time
another word that needs to rhyme
a pain that stops you on a dime
sometimes allowing the sublime
