Heather Burns - Fading Into Yesterday

Sitting still on a hill
not a sound is heard
silence surrounding

Reflections in a stain
glass window
etched in the frosted
facade

your image fades into
yesterday
Roses in the garden wilts
suffering for a drink of
water

the gardener is not present
to attend them
with a tearful eye
they fade into yesterday.
