Runners in Boston pay tribute Wednesday to the three people killed and the 176 injured when the Boston marathon came under attack Monday.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) RUNNER, ANDY ZISKIND, SAYING:

"I was going to run a long the river and I kind of felt an obligation to run along the boundary of the police cordon. I think think it is something that is drawing runners to respect the people who have been hurt and the people in the race."

(SOUNDBITE) (English) GRADUATE STUDENT AT MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, KRISTIN KNOUSE, SAYING:

"I have been really impressed about how all of Boston and all of the rest of the world has come together to really support and move on from this event."

As the city begins the healing process some of the injured face a long recovery time ahead says Dr. Peter Burke, the chief of trauma at Boston Medical Center.
