Hazel H. Kersch - Pennies
3 Views • Nov 08, 2014
Description
Your fortune, weight, trinkets,
A sucker or jelly beans.
A child's eyes would shine,
If a penny they'd find.
Penny ante, a card game to play,
An entertaining way,
To spend the day.
Now, in the 90's,
If a penny is found,
More than likely,
It will stay on the ground,
Walked on, trampled into the earth.
Disdain for this copper,
A coin without worth.
