Description

India's crusading anti-graft campaigner Anna Hazare breaks his 19-day vow of silence at the Mahatma Gandhi memorial in New Delhi.
The veteran activist, who embarked on the vow of silence to recuperate after a 12-day hunger strike in August, says he is now more motivated than ever.
Surrounded by supporters, Hazare's first words are Bharat Mata ki Jai or Long live India.
At a news conference soon after, the 74-year-old activist vowed to campaign against India's ruling Congress party if the anti-graft Jan Lokpal Bill isn't passed soon.
(SOUNDBITE) (Hindi) ANNA HAZARE, VETERAN SOCIAL ACTIVIST, SAYING:
"I will go and campaign in every state 'don't vote for the Congress Party'. If the Jan Lokpal Bill is not passed in the winter session of Parliament I, myself, will go."
The proposed bill includes the formation of a national anti-corruption watchdog to remove the financial mismanagement and corrupt practices that have dogged many Indian institutions for years.
