Hayley dawn - Addiction Abyss

As I'm sitting in the crunchy fall grass,
I notice a plastic bag viciously float pass.
a simple grin overtakes my face,
in this peaceful scene its obviously out of place.
I follow behind it's untamed trail.
It leads me to a mysterious land where everything is bitter and frail.
In awe I gaze above and around.
Everything is silent there's not one sound.
I feel the dark cold breeze hug my skin.
I shiver and die a little within.
With each step I take my feet slug along.
Suddenly I realize I'm in a place I do not belong.
But the bag moves on and tempts me to stay
I follow it aimlessly cause I don't know my way.
Deeper we move into that dark dark abyss.
My old happy life I already miss.
There must be a way for me to turn back.
But I'm scared the bag will feel devastated and attack.
It has a tight grip on my heart and rusty chains on my soul
I am its victim; the bag is under control.
I bow my head down and seek God in prayer.
Something I haven't done in a long time but I did it with care.
A bright light shone in my dark addiction abyss.
My guardian angel appeared and gave me a kiss.
He took my hand and showed me God's way.
I was speechless and had no clue what to say.
I gave God my heart to handle with care
He repaid me by saying 'I will always be there.'
