hated failure - Broken

When I was small
I dreamed of being
A fairytale princess
And someday finding
My prince charming.

Now I know this is
Not possible for me.
Because my prince
The wolf
Can not be my prince.

I dreamed of someday
Finding someone who
Could understand me.
I did, but even though
He understands me,
It could never work out.

Emotional wreck, scarred,
Mentally deranged -
None of these work
If someone is looking
For someone to understand them.

My prince, the wolf, has
His own princess.
But if I am the damaged one,
She is his damager.
Yet he still chooses her.

Even though we are evenly damaged.
Even though we are too alike not to be friends.
Even though we are both broken.
