Hashmina Habeeb - Enervated

I am a fallen flower
Lost of lustre and shine
I wait for a shower
Bereft of what is mine
I grieve in pain
Of the forgone days
Blistered in golden strokes, I drain
Stifling in manly ways
I wriggle in pain
Deliberations of family stays
I smile but in vain
Encumbered in plastic forts
My world fades
Fallen into a family of sorts
I long for glades

I droop, I droop
With my beneficiaries' troop
Longing for fresh grounds
Where ancestors' revelry knew no bounds.
I fall on my knees
In faultless pleas
For a morrow devoid of dissevered limbs
Or be reincarnated as limps
