Harry Haigh - First Born
1 Views • Nov 08, 2014
Description
I rode the stars...you felt it not.
Your mind unable to comprehend,
Oblivious of my presence there.
By uncoordinated reflexes
Your tiny arms stirred up the air.
Lying there, how could you feel
What I felt, three feet away?
I ached to hold you in my hand.
I couldn't .... a glass pane barred my way.
Events transcend our sense of space,
The miracle of yesterday.
Experience your child's birth!
Another time...another place.
So close ...and yet so far away.
This paradox of life on Earth.
Harry Haigh
