Happy People

Our music-movie mash-up series continues now with Allison Crowe's "Happy People", (from her 2008 "Little Light" album), and an excerpt from "Le Piano Irresistable", made by French film-maker Alice Guy in 1907.

Guy (1873 -- 1968) directed over 1000 films -- shorts and feature-length -- during her lengthy and robust career as a cinema pioneer and innovator, and movie studio-owner. She's awarded the Légion d'honneur, the highest decoration in France, and thanks to the internet, Alice Guy's film-work can now be discovered by a global audience.
