Hans Bump - The Old White Guy

Old White Guy
sits starched and mute
until the bad boys
call from the bushes
'Hey Old White Guy',
they hiss
'Whattcha Gonna Do'?
they taunt.
He peers over the railing
and clenches his fists
until his veins run red
and furious
'When I was your age.....'
'I'd break you in half....'
'I'd crush you like grapes....'
He stops suddenly,
eyes glazing over
sensing his obscurity
Old White Guy sits
starched and mute
waiting for dinner to burn
