I stand before the running creek
amid hawks that cry
and birds that sing

amid leaves that whisper
and gentle breeze
speaking words

so enchanting
that I believe
they are the only words

and I the only man.
Now upon this blesséd day
in this place made magical

I speak words so dear
that songbirds hush.
