the guard says you’re out.
You take your pitiful belongings
walk outside for the first time
in some time
and what do you do—
grab some little old lady’s purse.

In the park couples moon and spoon
children grow
lurkers lurk.
Top tier executives
specialize in f.cking up lives.
Tiger Woods
turns out to be human.

Taking the cash from the purse
you walk into the first
available bookstore
buy a copy of Jane Eyre
and disappear into the loo to jerk off.
Let it be a lesson.
We fall from grace, we succumb.
