Hanque O . . . - Fatigue
0 Views • Jun 16, 2014
Description
his tin-torso, his tin-limbs, and of course his emptiness.
She feels her own structure slowly petrifying, not by injury
so much as the unrelenting doggedness of this chosen life.
The nature of her disease is fatigue; the result is a morbidity of will,
an enervation of purpose and a numbing lassitude.
Indeed, at times she finds herself as indisposed as the Tin Man:
rained upon, helpless, and beyond the reach of her belovéd oil can.
