Hannah Bryson Price - Radiance

I stare at this essence for what seems to be hours.
Something not seemingly complex has many powers.
I am awed by the sight,
However something happens, giving me a fright.
I fear this essence, yet how I wish to hold it.
It has an aura that swims when lit.
It is both evil and radiant in whole.
Most men abuse it, not knowing how it affects their soul.

Dances to its own beat it does.
It does because,
It can.
The essence has too short a life span.
That may be rightfully so.
It consumes everything as it does go.
It spreads, kills, and causes pain,
Seeking everything that it can gain.

Then as I stare I see all the radiance,
The light is meant to show guidance,
As well as knowledge and mystery,
Some consider it a monstrosity.
Does not matter to me what so ever,
I see and feel its endeavor.
It's hot because it is angry at the obstacles.
It is warm because it wants to try to find every beat possible.
