Hamzah slams Mohamaddin, defends security forces

The actions of the Lahad Datu MP who mocked security forces in the intrusion incident in Kg Tanduo, Lahad Datu in 2013 is very irresponsible, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin.

Hamzah, who is also Perikatan Nasional secretary-general said that on Tuesday when asked to comment on Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi’s remarks which belittled the sacrifices of the security forces.

Meanwhile, Hamzah also claimed that an agent of a candidate contesting in the Sabah state election has tried to offer an inducement to the police to stay silent on the issue involving Mohamaddin’s statement.

Hamzah added that a report has been lodged to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over the attempted bribery.
