Queensland's capital, Brisbane is cleaning up after a massive hail storm ripped through the city on Thursday (November 27) afternoon.
What's been described in Australian media as a "super storm" caused major damage to homes, with roofs being torn off and trees uprooted and falling on cars.
Winds of up to 140 kilometres an hour (86 miles) tore the the south-east Queensland city with hails stones smashing windows and battering homes.
Several schools were closed on Friday (November 28) and about 83,000 homes lost power with the State Emergency Services received more than 1,000 calls for help, Australian media said.
