Gulliver Gimble - Set In Stone
1 Views • Nov 09, 2014
Description
Gnarled by moss growing in the cracks.
Overshadowing wilted daffodills.
Breaking light from trees above.
Surrounded by rust born leaves.
And the soft whispers of those left beside.
A curiosity was written where a name should be.
'Below This Earth, Below This Heart'
The birth date was correct.
The date of death was not.
There was no date of death.
I noticed the grass was still green.
But, the sky was dark with rain coming down.
I wondered all day about this premonition.
The sight my eyes did see when dreaming.
What makes someone see their own epitaph?
In such a devistated condition with no date of death.
Is this a chemical reaction of visions in REM sleep?
In the land of my dreams I did see what was.
And it was........... set in stone.
