GUIPAVAS WW2 BOMB

Mission accomplished for the agents of the mine clearance services. This morning in Guipavas the bomb was defused a little before 11.00 Hrs. The operation always delicate went well and the 1500 evacuated local inhabitants were allowed to return home before midday. The 500 pounds American bomb is from now on inoffensive, it is stored in Plouneventer from where it will be moved to an army ground close to Rheims where it will be destroyed. The Altaria building site which had been stopped during seven days could begin again.
