I want to lie down next to you
For you to hold me close to you
Tell me it's ok, and not to believe a word they say
Wipe the tears i cry for you, as i tell you
That i love you
And when you dream of going away
Remember that i'll still be awake
Don't forget me when you're gone
Know that i'll be here alone
If what they say is true
That absence makes the heart grow fonder
You cannot imagine how fond i am of you
And i do not tell you this so that you will feel guilty
Only that when you read it, you remember me
