Guarded Heart - Innocent Ramblings

My feelings betray me
My poetry portrays
My emotions forsake me

Hold on tight
Don't try to fight
Out goes the light

You know that you hurt me
The way that you left me
You've no common decency

Wake to her mind
Her dreams of the night
She begins to cry

You begin to recognize
Yet you want to deny
But you have finally realized
