Gregory Hughes - Thankfulness

Do you thank the Lord,
For the air, you breathe each day?
Have you said, “I love you Father”
In the things, you do and say?

Have you said I love the flowers,
The way they stretch to reach the sun?
How He makes the rainbows rise,
And can make day so much fun.

When He speaks His words of wisdom,
Is it like soft loving music to your ear?
When He breathes His life upon you,
Being lifeless, you no longer fear.

Have you told our precious Lord,
He makes you feel like never before?
That He has touched your very being,
And it’s let your spirit soar.

Do you ask, “How did you make each tree,
They’re all different but yet the same? ”
They are all so wonderful and lovely,
Only He deserves the glory and fame.

I think he likes to hear these things,
As you bend your knees to pray.
If you let your heart speak truthfully,
Your lips will always know just what to say.
