Nights Fueled by the jungle temperament of the all night drum,
and our furtive flask of liquid music.
laughter overflowing
from the moist, wry lips
of sexy glasses, and
the rogue brims of
dancing bottles,
our communal table flooded
with red waves of convivial juice!
No one bother keeping count
of the Marlboros.
Sit down,
No need to fetch us
any shot glasses.
Feel free to chainsmoke and
slug-straight-shots from the bottle.
Jack's whiskey waxing our whimsey,
As we polish the fifth,
alcohol mingling with
cool blue night and
warm red blood,
Sitting across from each other,
twisted grimaces and howling guffaws,
making our silly grotesque faces,
In turn we crack jokes,
wince and hysterically snap.
