Have You Forgotten Me?

Have you forgotten me,
because I’ve grown old?
Have you forgotten me,
because I can’t walk?
Have you forgotten me,
because I can’t see?
Have you forgotten me,
because I have arthritis?
Have you forgotten me,
because you can no longer relate to me?
Have you forgotten me,
because I can no longer make it to the bathroom?
Have you forgotten me,
because I no longer look quite the same?
Have you forgotten me,
because Alzheimer’s has stolen my memory of you?
Have you forgotten me,
because your to busy to remember me?
Have you forgotten me,
because I’m just a burden to you?

Remember this.....
I once was your friend.
I once was your mother.
I once was your father.
I once was your grandmother.
I once was your grandfather.
I once was your teacher.
I once was your co-worker.
I have been so many things,
but I never forgot about you, even though sometimes it would
have been easier or I just didn’t have the time.
I made it no matter the sacrifice, because you were important to me
and I to you. I’m left with a dilemma, now that I need you.
You have forgotten me and I mean nothing to you!
Why Have You Forgotten Me?

Thank God that God hasn’t forgotten me!
