Green Eyes - Pause for thought

My head is full
There's no space for more
Not one piece of information
Not one more chore

I want to hit something,
To smash it apart
One less thing to look after
One less job to start

Don’t talk to me, or try to calm my state
I need to depart before it’s too late.
I need a break from all of this
From all of you who I know I will miss.

I just need to empty my head for a while
To do something selfish that raises a smile
I just want some quiet, to stop with a book
Without being interrupted to clean or to cook.

I want to miss you, to appreciate you are here
But my head is so muddled I must disappear
I’ll be back soon, I don’t want to leave you
I just have to pause so that I can continue.
