Green Eyes - At war with himself

He joined the fight to restore the peace.
To remove her gag so she could once again scream.

Secretly, he knew he needed the fight.
With something, someone, inside it felt right.

To defend the choices he had made in his life.
He left his sons, he left his wife.

He didn’t know how loud she would scream.
How once released she would puncture his dreams.

Her message was loud, and clear and strong.
And once he had heard it his old life was gone.
