Greeks protest austerity vote

Protesters clash with police outside Greece's parliament building on Tuesday - after lawmakers pass a widely unpopular property tax.

Earlier, all 154 Socialist deputies had voted for the bill - marking a significant test of the government's ability to push spending cuts through a disgruntled parliament.
The vote signaled a victory for the ruling party of the government - as EU and IMF inspectors are expected to review whether Greece has made progress in its austerity program.
At stake is an 8-billion-euro loan - needed to avoid running out of cash next month.
